Ontario has ongoing economic ties with France. France is Ontario's seventh-largest trading partner. France also accounts for about 15% of capital investment from European countries in Ontario. About 7% of foreign direct investment in Canada comes from France.
International Marketing Centre
The mandate of the Paris International Marketing Centre, located in the Canadian Embassy, is to promote awareness of Ontario and the province's many business opportunities.
Staff activities include, but are not limited to:
- Working with Ontario firms looking for opportunities in France
- Promoting awareness of and access to Ontario-produced goods and services
- Working with French companies to find investment opportunities in Ontario
- Building relationships with the media and local governments
