Ontario is educating consumers on smart shopping tips with the release of the 2010 Smart Consumer Calendar.
The calendar was released at Yonge-Dundas Square today, where it was handed out to consumers in an effort to raise awareness about their rights and responsibilities in the marketplace.
The calendar features different consumer protection themes each month such as tips on gift cards, buying or selling a home, dealing with an energy supplier, and buying cars and fitness club memberships.
2010 Smart Consumer Calendar is available in Spanish, Punjabi, Chinese (simplified and traditional) and Tamil in addition to English and French.
Order your calendar at www.serviceontario.ca/publications or call toll free at

“With the year’s busiest shopping season just around the corner, we want all Ontarians to learn how to protect themselves and their money. Our calendar helps them become informed consumers.”
