Guided by their technical expertise, Delegated Administrative Authorities enforce consumer protection and promote public safety within key sectors such as real estate, travel, motor vehicle dealers, elevators, amusement devices, fuel safety and electrical safety.
Administrative Authorities
Putting consumers first, two corporations established by the legislation they administer, operate as Administrative Authorities with specific responsibility for funeral services (Board of Funeral Services) and new home builders, vendors and warranties (Tarion Warranty Corporation).
Agencies
Established by their own unique legislation, two Regulatory Agencies report to the Ministry with defined responsibility for classifying movies, videos, DVDs, VCDs or video games and regulating the liquor and gaming industries in Ontario.
